I went to the LA Reptile Super Show yesterday to check things out. No more snakes...right? Well, between jljones and aozoras posts about their black rat babies I decided I would only by a licorice black rat or a leucistic black rat. Well I only found one Licorice in the whole place and the Leucistics I found were too expensive. So, I came home with a new baby girl. Meet Lacey!

Congrats on the new snake! Was there with my girlfriend today. I was a bit disappointed by the very limited number of corn snakes, although we did come very close to coming home with a moonstone stripe

Oh I didn't see that one! I did see quite a few corns being bought on Saturday. I was pleased to see this. What's with the Ball fetish? Thousands....But, I didn't see people really buying them.

Yeah, balls are everywhere. But they obviously are not selling as the prices have plummeted over the last year. I would really like to see more corns show up on the west coast. I was really disappointed that BHB didn't bring a big selection of corn snakes like they did last year.

It was definitely a ball python convention. They sure have some really amazing looking bp's. My son picked up an albino. I'm just not into them, though, and there were way too many. I was more than a little disappointed in the boa selection.

It seems that lately it's been all BPs, crested geckos, carpet pythons and then some leopard geckos and bearded dragons mixed in. I imagine it goes through cycles as everyone gets caught up in the latest rage. Hopefully corns will pick up in the next couple of years when people realize just how awesome and perfect they are ;-)

The girl likes to eat!! You can hardly see a bump since I fed her the tiniest pink I had for her first feed but she ate like a champ and was looking for more just like my Corns :eatpointe
