So, the guy who gave me this guy says he's obese.. this boy is 1.1 lbs and he's huge.. (long too). He's in a 35 quart right now but once my old beardie dies I will give him a 40 gallon I think to roam in because he's HUGE.. However he doesn't have the fat deposits. This is the one I will have on a mouse every 2 weeks... but would you consider him obese? if so where do you see it on him, he looks fairly even to me..

I'm not an expert, but he looks big, rather than fat to me. It is difficult to tell from pics. His tail looks really nice and I can definitely see his backbone. Does he have that "loaf of bread" crossection or do his sides bulge out? He doesn't look bulging in the pictures.

I also think he looks big but not obese. He doesn't have hips and that's the backbone sligt protrusion I have seen in most. He seems to have a good snake silouette.
The middle part in the last picture looks thick, but I guess it's beucause of the size.

I don't think he's fat at all.

hmm when he relaxes he loafs a little.. but I guess that is normal? I will have to take a video of him moving I guess so you guys can see better. I don't want to have him on a diet if he's normal if that makes sense.. he is very sweet and super huge.. Biggest boy corn I ever seen!!

I think an adult mouse every 2 weeks sounds reasonable for him to maintain his weight without getting fat.

I agree with the above.

I agree- big, not fat. My males get one adult mouse or weanling mouse every two weeks. They also did just fine on one medium or large (not gigantic) adult mouse every three weeks.

Ok, so I will keep him on one adult mouse every 2 weeks and monitor his weight, if he drops too much or start gaining... I need to take a video of him here one day. He is a sweetheart, just shed too.
