Get picture to show up bigger?

My pics that I've (finally) posted are only thumbnails. Could you give me any advice on how to post them so that they're larger? I'm using the "manage files" button to put up my pics. Is this the problem?

I think it is better to post thumbnails. On smaller monitors, it looks better, plus slower computers have a hard time loading so many images. But, as for how to post bigger ones, I don't know. Sorry :-P

As far as I can tell, if you are uploading images from your own computer to my server, this system will only display them as thumbnails until you click on them. However, if you have your images stored on another server somewhere, you can have them displayed in full size.
I couldn't find any way to change the way this works.

Thanks, Rich. I appreciate the attempt. after reading Flygning's post and looking at some other pictures (which were too big for my monitor) I decided to leave well enough alone. If someone needs to see a bigger pic they can just click.
However I'm still trying to figure out why my pics seem to be of lesser quality and detail than the other members.
And although I did it once, that avatar thing is a pain in the rear-end...I'd like to replace the pic I have up but it's too much difficulty with trying to get the picture reduced to the pixel limit without it looking like a shrinky-dink!
Rich - how did you get such a decent size picture for your avatar?

Heck I don't remember. I work with several graphics programs as some are better for some things and others better for others. I think I created a large crop box (can't remember which program) that was a multiple of the size limit for the avatar and then just scaled it down to size. I'll probably have to figure it out all over again next time I want to use another photo....

LOL! I'm not THAT computer literate...guess I'll stick with what I have until I get the time to fiddle around and maybe figure something out!
