Were out of town and thought for sure we'd miss getting to see them hatch but they mostly held off until we got back. All were pipped and one was out when we arrived home this morning.

Finally, after 96 long days, here they are!

Yay!!! The first prasina shed today, so I went ahead and offered it a day old F/T pinky and it ate immediately!! Hopefully the rest are as quick.

OMG these are gorgeous. Now I want one of these too! I looked up some care sheets and it says "experienced" level care requirements, but I'm not clear on why. Do you recommend these for novices?

You might have a hard time finding them in Canada but I'm not sure I'd class them as Experienced Level, more Intermediate.
I find that the difficulty levels are kind of misleading with a number of snakes, it's actually more about the type of keeper you (general you) are and want you want in a snake.
In a lot of ways these are pretty similar to the porphyraceus/Thai Bamboo rats that we keep and their (the porphs) actual husbandry is a breeze but they are not a "cuddly" snake! Little rockets and the coxi (in most cases) hatch out with the active desire to bite and I don't mean that they are super scared and defensive, they are some that I would say actually are mean, as in they want to hurt you because they want to hurt you. If you like the feisty ones and don't mind getting bitten or dodging strikes, they are very fun and easy to keep but they would be a nightmare to even very experienced keepers that like BPs or corn snakes or any of the very docile ones.

As to the prasina, I so far find them a little more fragile than the coxi but they are more prone to bluff striking than actual biting and rather than shoot off when upset, they act like the Mandarin ratsnakes and get a grip on the handler's fingers/arm with their back halves and curl their upper bodies into an elevated S, so they can easily dodge away or strike at anything they see as threatening. This makes them a lot easier to work with than the racer porphs. They are more high strung in the sense that changes stress them and put them off feed but are less strung out as babies, compared to hatchling coxi.
I don't have a great deal of experience with them so far unfortunately, to really give you a good overview.
They are quite small and slender snakes, my big adult female, the mom to these, is approx 30 inches and around 200-240 grams. The male is smaller than both the females I have. They are semi arboreal and fairly diurnal, so they make decent display snakes. They like it cooler, 72-80 degrees and fairly high humidity. Depending on your ambient humidity, aspen with a humid hide can work or if you humidity is pretty low, coco fiber and a humid hide is best. They do not stretch and prefer multiple smaller prey to one bigger mouse, the adult females take 2 largish hoppers and the male takes largish fuzzies. They usually only eat every 10 days or so, so they have slower metabolisms than most Asian rats.

Wow, thank you! That is excellent information. I have some difficulty maintaining humidity in the winter, and don't think I have the experience level to brush off a truly hard-core biter, no matter how little. If they're not big enough to hurt me, then I worry about it hurting them! LOL
I will continue to enjoy your spectacular pictures, and leave these off my wishlist... for now. ;)

Oh, of the Amazon Tree boas and the coxi we keep, the prasina aren't bad. I just like to warn people that are used to the more docile species, they can be rewarding to keep but are a whole different experience than a corn! If someone is expecting the same temperament, they will be a disappointment.

Neither baby, #2 and #3, as it happens, bit or struck at me when I picked them up to feed them. Little #4 likes to sit at the front of his cage in an S with a mean look and dare all passersby with a "just come at me!" stare though! He'll also strike the cage if you get too close. That one is going to be a handful!
