Ok for Hunter and Sherbert to be outside?

For about a month now, Each week I have been taking them outside for 10mins or so to roam through the grass in the shade. Learned very quickly not to take my eyes off Hunter for even a split second. lol With him only being a few months old and His dark colors blend him in quite nicely with the grass.

Anyways, Over the weekend I was reading a small tit bit about why you should get captive bred corns vs wild caught.... One thing was parasites....


By letting them roam through my yard, is this something I need to worry about?
Should I stop letting them roam on the ground?

Im in the uk so it maybe different due to temps outdoors etc... but i take mine out side but always have them round me neck or in my hands i never stick them on the grass is id rather not take the risk just in case there are any parasites etc... id say its a personal choice but me personaly would'nt risk it. :) Hope this helps.

They should be ok outside, always assuming of course that you keep a close eye on them. It's surprising how quickly even something like an adult snow can vanish into grass. Most parasites in wild corns are the internal sort, acquired by eating infected prey or by drinking from a water source which contained parasites. It is theoretically possible for your snake to pick up skin mites or even a tick but a close visual check will let you know if this happened and you can deal with it promptly. Bottom line, you can enjoy your snakes while they enjoy the outdoors as long as you are sensible about it.
