Hi, this is my first post! I have a daughter who adores snakes, and we've gone from none to FOUR in a few months! 2 corn, 1 green tree snake and 1 crazy eastern hognose. Her first corn snake she got from a reptile store, and we just discovered a little lump on his spine.
He's 8 months old and is super chill. There haven't been any signs of distress as far as him eating or anything, but we've moved cages and locations a few times and he has been trying to push himself out of the plastic cage all the time. He's pushing so hard, she's concerned he pushed himself into a spine fracture or something. That's the only thing we can figure out as to why there might be a lump.
The snake is moving fine, showing no signs of distress other than trying to push out of his cage, super curious, eating great (actually seems to want more usually)...and we are in in rural south GA -no reptile vet anywhere close. What's your take? Urgent? Watch and see? Any thoughts?
