99 male. He was bred with the sunglow (??) below. My 'hope' is to get her contrast in the amel stripes (F2). Like trying to predict the Super Bowl winner four years in advance. ;)

Wow I like both of them a lot but I have a special weakness for stripes...Do you have any full body shots of him?
Is he amelanistic striped or normal striped?

Love both of them! Really nice coloring and very nice strips too!

Good luck and Happy Herping!

Iris,
He is a normal stripe. He isn't amel (black eyes). He does appear 'hypo,' but it is just the natural hypo effect of the stripe gene. His stripes become 'dashes' at mid-body.

Just wondering if your sure the second pic is a sunglow??

Ares,
While she isn't a 'traditional' sunglow, she certainly has LESS white than some sunglows I have seen for sale. As well as less white than the 'normal' amel above. It's all in the eye if the beholder.;)

wow now I have kind of an idea of how my snake might turn out. If Xavier turns out half as nice, I'll be happy. Did yours have a gray head as a hatchling by any chance? Mine has a gray-ish head but I haven't seen any adult striped corns with gray heads. Is it something that changes with age maybe?

so I couldn't tell you what he looked like as a hatchling. When I bought him his head still had a little grey, but has since 'brightened up' to a beige sort of colour.
Nice looking stripe you have. Is it more orange or red? All of the adult normal stripes I have seen are either very orange or very red. Good luck with 'Xavier.'

Well, when I look at him he looks orange with brownish stripes, but in pictures he looks red with brownish stripes. It must just be the pictures. Yup Xavier, htat's his name. A couple of my friends have nicknamed him "Professor X" like from X-Men, ya know?
He's still only around 14 inches long...kinda small for an Aug '01 snake I think. Oh well growth isn't something I can force so he'll stay on 2 pinkies a week for now.
can't wait to see the babies from your 2 snakes.

Hey Iris,

I have a few Motleys,(A Normal, Stripe...) In all that I have seen that Bronze look on the head will change as he/she grows. The Bronze color should change to an orangish color. However, the pattern itself will be faint but should still be visable. Some bronze color may be retained but more like an orange/light bronze color. I'm I clear as mud? Well, hope I helped some anyway.

No no, you're a bit clearer than mud. ;) Now I have something to look forward to(other than growth) in my little friend over here. I'll certainly be taking tons of pictures!
