My corn is 16 inches long, and a couple months old (picture of her as my avatar) anyways, when should I began feedng her two pinkies, and then eventually movie up to fuzzies?

16" will usually still be on a single large pinky. Mine went up to fuzzies recently, but they are all 21-22" long. If she is looking for food the day you fed, or is out looking for food the next day, they're usually ready for the next size up. Usually, I feed two of the same size food source for 2-3 feedings and then go up in size.

that seems a little excessive for a 16 incher...are you sure you have your snake measured correctly oreo? looks can be deceiving. My snake always measures out to be longer than she looks to me. If it is only 16 inches, you may want to re-think your feedings...

Snakes are usually ready for larger meals before you're ready to offer them one. ;)

FWIW Oreo, 85 is a little too warm for a corn. Less heat is preferable to more.

thanks for the temp suggestion. my snake is just under 15.5 in(just measured), and she eats 3 pinkies every 6 days. i figure as long as she doesnt bring them back up, shes fine.

This is great advice...

I would say, judging by the pic in your avatar...that snake will take at LEAST 2 pinks...and probably a fuzzy.

I have a 10 inch Thayeri Kingsnake hatchling that takes two small pinks and looks for more.

Most of my 18-20 inchers are on at least fuzzies...and a couple are on hoppers.
