Ate his own shed..Concern?

I was feeding my favorite hurricane butter motley tonight, and I failed to remove his shed before feeding. At some point, the shed got tangled up with the pinky, and he proceeded to eat some of his own shed. I caught this when he had about one third of his shed down, and promptly cut off the remaining shed with scissors.

Should I be concerned?

If this is a problem, what can I do now?

I feel really stupid for this one, it is entirely my fault. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Some snakes and reptiles will do that in the wild to cover up their tracks from predators. Some females will also eat any unfertilized eggs too to cover up any scent in case they start to rot and give away the location of their clutch. I don't think its too big of a problem. he probably didn't even realize he was eating it. Keep an eye on him for the next few days to see if he has any problems with defacations and possible regurges. Let us know how he does.
