Stress

This is a rather ticky question. Experience make a lot of difference.

Here are a couple of the easiest things to watch for:

Not eating is one of the biggest or most common symptoms. Behavior is another, but you have to know a particular snake's "normal" behavior before you can know his "abnormal" behavior.

I notice my snake gets stressed around new people if she is out of her cage. When she goes back in she often runs for a hiding spot and if you try to pick her up again, she'll do anything she can to avoid being picked up.

I would also have to say not eating would be a main factor letting you know your snake is stressed. Or sometimes if there arent enough hiding spots in the tank the snake will stress.

Moving around the tank

I know snakes are nocturnal and are out at night but my snake is out in the day only when I change the bedding or after I feed. That's the only time she is active, are any of your snakes active another time than this excluding breeding season?? :crazy02:
