Switching from live to frozen

I have a little 04 ghost stripe female that absolutely won't eat frozen, it's kind of weird b/c she ate frozen pinks before but now she will have nothing to do with them. I got her a live pink 2 weeks ago and she gobbled it up, it was her first meal in 3 weeks, I can go get her another live pinky but I would really like her to take the frozen ones any suggestions appreciated thanks!

I have an amel that will not eat f/t unless I put it on tweezers and dangle it in front of him. Have you tried that yet?

you may just need to simulate a "live" pink by jiggling it as Howie said. that should kick his instinct into gear. are you giving him a chance to become interested or are you taking away as soon as you notice she won't eat it right away? try leaving her in a deli cup with the pinkie for a while (like a few hours...maybe overnight) sometimes they just need to concentrate on ONLY the pinkie. make sure you don't disturb her though. I know its hard to do, but you may inadvertantly mess up her progress. she'll either eat it or not. if not, looks like you have to stick with live for now. she'll probably switch when she gets a little older.

Thnx Jynx & Howie the tweezer thing, I tried it but I had a long handled thermostat thing I think it frightened her, she's a shy snake I also tried leaving her with the pinky in a deli cup for a few hours, I'll try it overnight though. It seems so wierd she used to eat the frozen ones when I got her in Nov. and then she got a taste of live because I was trying to raise mice and ever since she snubs the frozen ones - they were good enough once, but not anymore! :shrugs:

I left Minerva with a pinky in a deli cup all night, checked this morning and it was gone, yayyy!! Now I don't have to go on a live pinky hunt thanks again!!
