Silver Queen Ghosts

I wanted to throw this question out there to anyone who's seen a lot of these guys. Do they all tend to develop the sort-of "frosted" look? I have a '00 female who started out with perfectly solid looking saddles, but the last few sheds it seems like she is losing them. After the last couple sheds it looks like more and more of the saddle area is being replaced by the background color. Does this always happen with the silver queens, or is there any way of predicting this when they are hatchlings? I have a yearling male that I am keeping an eye on but so far his saddles are solid.
