snake not eating

i have my corn snake for about 4 years and it has been eating every week since then until 3 weeks ago when it just stopped eating, im worried cos i think it might die any day soon, it looked like it had problems shedding aswell, does anyone have any advice? thanx

Unfortunately advise for something like this on a message board is tough. If you've had the snake for 4 years and nothing has changed to cause it too much stress then in my opinion I would find a vet you trust.

It could be a male that's gone off food for the mating season. Mine went off food in January and didn't start eating until almost April. If he's 4 years old, he can go a while without food unless he wasn't in good weight to begin with. Shedding problems are usually from too low a humidity at shed time. Mist the viv, or give him a moist hide to go in. You can also soak a paper towel and make a tent of it. My amel loved hanging out under it at shed time and right after he shed.
