hello all first post here.

i have a 3 yearold lavander motley and hes been fine untill now... when hw was in his peet box (which he loves) i noticed that his scale has split 2 ways on his head and his skin was showing this split covers about 3/4 of his head across.... plz help im worried for my baby

You'll probably get given some good advice here soon, but the best advice I, being pretty new to corns myself, could give you is get to avet ASAP. Try and go to a specialist in snakes if pos.
I bet a picture would help immensly to those more in the know than myself.

Yes...please post a picture. I would like to see the snake's wound. It will be easier to offer advice if we can actually see pics of the wound.

Also, I hope you don't mind me asking...where'd you find a lavender motley 3 years ago? Rich only offered one pair for sale in 2002, and to my knowledge, he was the first person to produce them. :shrugs:

I highly doubt it's a lavender motley. A pic would be great, but I'm going to assume you've got a ghost (pastel) motley.

welll... maybe i was a bit graphic on the age of him probobly is a ghost motley even?

ill post a picture as soon as i can

the wound seems to be clearing up though

hehe...I had the same reaction...wow someone with a lavmot of that age???

It might be a simple scratch in the top layer of skin that has peeled away a little and might heal in the next shed but if the peat is very moist it could be some sort of moisture based problem.
