Change in vent scales ~.~

In the last couple days Treasure's vent scales have changed. They are kind of sticking out now.. like when you bend your fingernail backwards some. It doesn't seem to hurt her but it is unusual and I can't get a decent picture of it. Instead of lying flat they are raised maybe 1 mm but enough that you can feel it when you run your hand along her body. Any ideas?

Hrm.. she shed yesterday and the scales still look funny.. like they're peeling off, can see soft pink flesh under them and her vet is on vacation till Sept 7 ~.~
