Just purchased my first corn. I pick him up later today. A beautiful amelanistic hatchling named "Twizzler". I am a school teacher and I am going to keep it in my classroom (Grade 3). The children are so excited :crazy02:

I have him set up in a low traffic area in class so he has a chance to become comfortable.

It is wonderful that you are bringing it to your classroom. My first introduction to keeping snakes was my third grade teacher who brought in her black ratsnake. I thought it was the coolest thing ever-much better than the 2nd grade hamster :). I will forever be grateful to her. Good luck.

Welcome to the board. You are doing a wonderful thing by introducing your young students to snakes. My interest in snake keeping was also sparked by a classroom snake, only it was a speckled king in my 10th grade advanced biology class.
