first shed - eating good

Well, Maxx did his first shed (for us) last night. I couldn't believe how fast it happened. I saw him out and moving at 10pm and when I came back 40 minutes later there was the skin in one perfect piece. I was happy to see that I did not have to deal with any stuck skin on the tail or eyes.

I also fed him the same night - since it was feeding night and he has always had a good appetite. He ate no problem and is still doing great.

We had him out right after the shed (before feeding) and he is so soft and smooth again - I had not noticed how dry he was getting as the skin got closer to shedding.

cool stuff - thought I would share...
