yes, getting one. I don't want to buy a pet until I have all the housing and care info I need to properly care for it.

I think what Jessica means to say is that Corns are addictive so you may end up with more than one lol :)

Oh, I see... well, I just bought a 25 gallon tank. is that big enough for one corn snake's entire lifespan? I thing 20 long or 30 is good... but will 25 do?

Yeah a 20 will be fine for it's whole life, so a 25 is fine :)

If the dimensions of the tank are 24"L X 12.5"D X 26"H (With Hood) like this one: Click here to see 25 gallon tank (http://www.petco.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=588342&cm_ven=nfg&cm_cat=83&cm_pla=588342&cm_ite=5393895&CMReferringUrl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.google.com%2fsearc h%3fhl%3den%26q%3d25%2bgallon%2btank%26btnG%3dGoog le%2bSearch); then that size is probably not suitable for a corn's entire life. A 20 long with dimensions of 30"L x 12"D x 13"H is more suitable. The key to a suitable tank or vivarium size is not the capacity (gallons or litres for our metric friends ;) ), but rather the length and depth. A minimum of 30" long is much more suitable for a full grown corn. I house corns for the first year in a 5 gallon tank (same dimensions of a 10 gallon, just half the height) before moving them to a 20L or equivalent Iris container. Remember, corns by nature are not climbers, so the extra height is pretty much just wasted space. Hope this helps.
