Best medication for RI?

Which antibiotic is the best choice for stubborn RI?

( I will be taking my snake into the vet, but my vet is not that skilled in reptiles and I highly doubt he has ever given an injection... so he would get it from a textbook or wherever... I trust him though... even vets have to learn eh )

A qualified reptile vet. If your vet hasn't had experience with reptiles suggest that they call an exotics vet. If they won't get another vet. You can go here to find a list of vets.

He is quite qualified IMO. He just does not have the experience.

I'm not in the US... I'm Canadian, and around my area I do not know of any vets who are experienced in reptiles.

I trust him very much. He has been wonderful for me, and my animals. He has no problems calling others, and consulting when needed as he had to do when he spayed my iguana for me ( she was his first ).

Aside from that, it does not really answer my question :)

I'm trying to find out which antibiotic people have most success with. I've heard of several used.

Thx.

It's really difficult to tell which antibiotic is best to use until you find out exactly what kind of bacteria is causing the infection. Different bugs need different meds.
