soaking still....

I did a search on this and read a recent post, but still am concerned.

Mowgli contracted mites from a ball python I was taking care of for a while. I treated her with every treatment known to man, and I haven't seen any sign of a mite for the last 3 weeks. Although I can't find the tiniest mite, she is still soaking in her dish almost every day. The temps in her viv are about 79 on the warm side, 70 on the cool. She is eating awesome like she always does and just shed about 2 weeks ago. Could she just like to soak? :shrugs:

Mowgli may just be one of those snakes that like to take baths. I would suggest that, if possible, you raise the temps just a touch...especially on the warm side. Try to get the upper temp in the low 80s to see if that changes anything. Most times, water temps are lower than cage temps, but perhaps Mowgli's water bowl is holding the heat more and is actually warmer. It's worth a try, and Mowgli would appreciate the warmer temps to help aid digestion as well.
