I change the water every 2 days and clean the bowl weekly by putting it in the dishwasher. Seems to work fine, any comments?

Well I clean my water bowl once a week at the minimum, if there is no poop in the water. If I find that there is poop in the water I change the water and clean the water bowl at once. I put in freash water every 2 days.

I clean my water bowl by soaking the water bowl(s) in bleach water and scrubbing it with a toothbrush and then rince it throughly with water. (Make sure that you rince it clean with water)

Good luck and Happy Herping!

I reccomend rinsing it out well each time you give your snake fresh water. Would you want to drink from a dirty cup?

Thats the wrong question to be asking.

I know I treat my corns better than I treat myself. my corns get clean water more often then I do.

And whats wrong with a dirty cup? :)

10% bleach solution is sufficient for disinfecting. rinse thoroughly, shouldn't be able to smell it when done.

I give fresh water after a good rinsing and making sure that there is no slickness in the bowl, every day. I bleach it out every month. The breeder told me to start cleaning the water bowl and putting in fresh water every day to avoid bacterial infections after my snake regurged. He said one of his snakes got a bacterial stomach infection after leaving his water for a couple of days. If it feels slick in the bowl, it's already dirty. Even if there's nothing you can see.
