question.... i bought my guy a weinar rat today becuase i thouught llarge mice were to smalle for him, he sometimes eats 2 really easily.
but i know rats have more nutrition in them and are more fattening, so i feed him 1 or 2 large mice a week, (only 2 if my female doesnt want hers which is hardly ever, should i feed him 1 weinar rat every 10 days?

should be fine here... Feeders is for breeding discussion mostly i guess..

As for the rat pup once every 10 days? how old is he.. i feed hatchlings 1 meal every 5-7 days for the first year. and after there a year old. one Right sized meal every 10 days..

I think you are trying to say a weaned rat. And one every 10 days is just fine for a 5 year old snake.

I feed my large amel a small adult rat every two weeks. I've fed him a large adult mouse for his first few feedings because he had gone off food for 2 months during breeding season, and there wasn't even a lump. I'll get him back on his regular rat next week. Then maybe he'll go in and relax for a while.

nope, its weanar

I've never heard of those. Is that like a hot dog made of rat parts? Like those sausages made of mice parts? I wouldn't know how to advise you in that case.

well, there are many diffrent names for the same size a rat. One is just saying rat that has been weaned from mother in "weaned" and the other is saying one that is beeing weaned at the moment in "weaner" and i was talking about Oscar Myers:sidestep:

Weaner is just a language difference. What frozendirect calls weaners we would call pups or weaned (21-50g is a wide range from 2-4 week old rats). Weaned rats are a good size equivalent (40-60g) and pups are good replacement for large mice (25-40g).
