White spots???

I have noticed that some corn snakes get white spots in there background color.This is regardless of what there parents looked like, is there a way to prevent this?Can anyone tell me what causes this?

i have not heard of these before. are you sure it is not mild frosting. does it look like the picyure below. this is frosting
