Blood after Laying ???

Here is a photo of ( Spook ) after she layed a clutch of eggs, a few hours earlier. There was no evidence of blood on the eggs when they were layed.
This occured on her second clutch, after laying 15 eggs. There was also a small blood clot the size of a pea.

The snake is alive and well at this time. This is the first time I have seen this during the past 6 years of breeding Corns. Any thoughts on this ??

Thanks, Stephen
