Shedding Question

I have an adult that seems to be in the midst of shedding. ( when we got him we never saw the milky eyes, but his skin is peeling/flaking a bit ) We've had him for a few weeks now. I'm concerned that if he is shedding that it is taking too long. He has a bath in the viv, and some jungle vine to rub up on. Could he not be shedding maybe, just flaky skin? He's been with the flaky skin for about a week now. He's due for a feed, but we aren't sure if we want to yet because of this. Any advise? Thanks, Mike.

He should not have flaky skin. A shed should come off all in one piece, and it shouldn't take a week. It is possible that his humidity was too low and that is why he didn't shed properly. Place him in a container with about an inch of room temp water for about 45 minutes or so. Then let him crawl through a damp towel, and the old skin should come off just fine.

It will be ok to hold off on feeding him until you get the shed taken care of. He'll be ok. They can go a long time without eating.
