Scenting Pinkies

hello all,
can i scent a pinky with anole skin (already shed, got petco employee to take it out of the tank for me)---so all i have is the shed skin.
i also have 3 mice which i could scent the pinkies with for my stubborn eaters.
how should i go about scenting and will it work?

I've heard some people tuck a small piece of anole shed in the pink's mouth...

I usually scent my mice with a few drops of tuna brine, works well for me.... :cheers:
