How old is the male? If the conditions are the same, it could just be a case of the corn getting into breeding mode and ignoring his food

No worries. It's normal for males to feel all sexy at this time of year. In the wild they'd be looking for females to breed with. Just keep an eye on his condition and offer food once a week until he gets sensible again. If he starts to lose weight, then search the feeding problems FAQ

If the males are also much more active than usual, they're probably looking for love. Expect some weight loss. Heightened activity coupled with weeks or months of fasting will definitely burn some grams off a male.

Yep, Mr Bonney my ratsnake has lost a bit of weight but he's just started eating again. He never looked visibly different though, if I didn't weigh every month I wouldn't have known
