Personal best field herping

I went out to a hotspot for snakes about 15 minutes away a couple of days ago and had my personal best day of field herping ever. We went over about an acre and a half of land for 2 hours or so and ended up finding 53 snakes. Of those, we had 6 different species: Smooth greens, northern waters, northern ringnecks, browns, garters, and redbellies.

I found an eastern milk snake today too. I haven't seen one of those in a couple of years and I forgot just how much they look like corns!

Wow! Some of those I've never seen-ringneck and brown, and I've only seen a captive Eastern Milk.

I don't remember my best day of herping ever, but the best place I've herped was Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, and places near there. Tons of cool lizards, and also the first time I'd seen scorpions in the wild.
