Mating dance

I recently acquired 4 corns. 0.1 dbl.het snow, 0.2 het. okeetee, and 1.0 normal. My question is this: they are all late '02 hatchlings, but the male was demonstrating with one of the females the ritualistic mating dance. Is this normal, as in, is this an inborn sense, or do I possess some of the fastest sexually maturing corns on the face of the Earth?!?
Thanks!

I doubt you are witnessing mating behavior. Your snake is probably doing the jumpy/jerky motion when it contacts another snake because they are together and a little stressed. My snakes, all ages and both sexes, will do this when put together for any reason...primarily when I brumate or want to take pics. Females that aren't ready to breed that are put with a male will make extremely exaggerated movements to tell the male..."NO WAY! I'm not ready!"

I would suggest, if you have all 4 snakes housed together, to definately seperate them before the stress causes one or more to get sick.

No, what you have on your hands is a group of snakes that could mate prematurely.

You could have a dead snake, and not a h*rny one, as you called it..

Just my $.02
