Hi every one just joined, I really like this site.

I've just had my amel cornsnake for about 3 weeks, I've been feeding one small pinkie every 5 days (age about 2 months 12 inches). Is that too long?I am just getting to know the personality of my snake (maxine), to me it seems she prefers to eat at night. Have any others noticed their snakes having a favorite time for meals.

My corn, Brim, prefers to eat in dim settings etc... She does eat in brighter settings now that she's gotten to know me over the last year. Corns are nocturnal creatures so it's not surprising that yours prefers to eat at night. Baby corns are also more cautious so all in all it's cool.

Why is it everyones snakes are bigger than mine 2 months and 12 inches you are so lucky. I got a female corn cos i got confused and thought they got bigger, i later relised i had corns mixed up with some pythons!
