Is this normal ?

My snake doesn't seem to need a "warm" spot to hang out in,,after she eats.
For the last 3 feeds, she has not gone to her warm hide.The feed before last feed she stayed on the opposite side of the tank(75gal.)in her rock cave.
Temp in that cave can't be more than 75...Is this just something that goes along with maturity ??,as they get older,they don't require as much heat for digestion ??.

Seems normal, my Corn goes to the cold end and into her moist cave nearly every time she feeds. She usually comes out later and goes into the warm cave.

Maybe your corn does go over their as well but just much later when you are in bed?

For example I feed about 9pm she will then stay in the moist cave till about 1am then it's over to the warm cave. Just a rough Idea.

Maybe.I guess its not worth giving a second thought.Her life is pretty routine,,eat,hide,,poop,go hide again,,,,repeat.

Have you checked to make sure the warm side is not too hot?

Otherwise, this is nothing to be concerned with. I also had one that stayed on the cool side 90% of the time (unless he went to the warm side when I wasn't looking :rolleyes: ).

Warm sides good.It runs between 84 and 86.

for me, that is abit warm... my snakes get abit cranky over 83... so that might explain why yours prefers to stay on the cooler side :)

My warm side is at 80...but that's just by going crappy thermometer, Once I get a digi therm and probe inside the tank it should be about 84. Max.

Like I said,,this has just started about 3 feedings.The warm side has always run in this range.Maybe as she has gotten older and larger,,the temp is a bit more than she would like ??

I wouldn't worry as long as she is eating ok.
