Does hibernation trigger breeding behaviors?

I read somewhere that you shouldn't hibernate a snake unless you breed. Is that the only thing that triggers breeding behavior?

Nah, some people don't brumate their corns and they still get them to mate and lay eggs and all that.
I think some of the bigger breeders do it to mainly get a break from feeding and stuff...but also they get the males' and the females' reproductive cycles on a similar time schedule so they'll have better chances of having successful matings and getting fertile eggs and stuff. I think I read that in the CS Manual...not sure though.
Some people still brumate their snakes even if they're not planning to mate them. I probably will do it this coming winter and I'm not planning on breeding him anytime soon.
Hope I answered you question..sorta
