My Recent Refuser

Lila refused her meal two weeks ago. She was blue. Then she missed her weekly meal, because she was blue. Then, last night, she refused her mouse! I don't blame her- it was "leaking." I gave it to Big Jake, and the big boy who eats everything also declined.

Tonight I prepared another mouse for Lila, out of the same batch, carefully dried with a paper towel. She ate it.

Shes a cutie!!!! I get refusals with leaky mice sometimes, its usually when I try and cut them.

I slit them all the time, but this was different. There was a river of juice all around the edge of the feeding container, you know because the center was raised, and Lila was on an island avoiding it. I still had to give her a bath. Then when I picked the mouse up by the tail to give to Jake, there were guts coming from somewhere! He pushed it into the center of his bin and then stood up at the front begging to get out...
