A Stuffy nose

My baby girl has a stuffy nose and of course an upper respitory infection which I am giving her shots for. The problem is that her nostrils are clogged and its dried and hard and I tried using my fingernails to get it out which she will tolerate for a lil while. But its almost like there is a piece of skin over it and I cant get it out of her nostrils. I dont wanna hurt her either. She is in blue phase. Will this help once she sheds or is there a way to soften it up so I can get them boogies out of there. She is already having enough trouble breathing as it is so Im sure her nose being clogged aint helping her much eiether. Dont really know what to do.

Shedding should help remove most of it, but in the meantime, you can try to soften the hardened mucous simply with some warm water on a cloth and just gently and repeatedly wipe her nostrils.
