Dead Tail? Picture!

My kingsnake was missing for 2 months...he shed several times and well...seems like his tail tip didn't. So his tail looks dead. Is there anything I should do? Besides of course making sure it comes off next shed.

Look he is tring to get out again!

Is there still old skin on it, can you tell? Try dampening it just to see if it will loosen up if there is.

Try taking a damp, warm washcloth in your hand and having your snake crawl through it several times. My Amber corn had this problem, and that washcloth idea did the trick. Of course, if the leftover shed has been there for too long, there's a good chance the tip of the tail will come off....which is sad, but not the worst thing that could happen.

i know what ya mean about trying to get out but i did find a way to help keep mine in you superglue the clear tubing that you use on air pumps for fish around the lip on the inside of your tank just make sure you give it plenty of time to dry before putting him back in my albino lavender king hasnt made it out since
