For Sale . . . or Not.

Drizzt80
01-27-2009, 11:56 PM
After several of the discussions about the economy and the amount of snakes people are planning to produce, etc, and so forth, I've done some soul searching and decided to post the following animals for sale. If they go they go, if they don't, they'll continue on their project track around here.

Some of these have been brumated and will be available after breeding and egg laying. Some haven't been brumated and I'll stop breeding attempts once they're paid in full. Once they breed they will be available after egg laying. Some are keepers from '08 with the intention of future projects. Notes on each are posted below. I will NOT sell females alone from the pairs.

Regardless, nothing will be available for shipping until it warms up a tad in March. Shipping is NOT included in the prices listed. If you're more comfortable, non-refundable (but transferable) dowpayments (10%) can be made until shipping is possible. I will NOT hold anything indefinitely without a down- or full- payment.

Please PM or Email your interest.

Brent, this is the butter picture that I have been looking for for almost a month now....that changed my mind about butters, and led me to purchasing one. I kept asking everybody, even you, where that beautiful butter was....and here it is. Absofriggafuggalutely. She was on 1-27, and she is now. I tell you what else, the amel motley is absolutely edible too. It looks so much like a sunglow motley....what is the difference?

Drizzt80
02-18-2009, 12:53 AM
It looks so much like a sunglow motley....what is the difference?Nothing. Sunglow is a moniker typically given to Amel corns with no white. Amel Motleys typically have no white, while regular old Amels usually do have white.

I just personally choose not to use the Sunglow name in conjunction with a Motley as it's "normal" for them to not have white.

I hope that makes sense.

My god, I'm DEEPLY in love with that caramel/butter pair! Money's tight, though, and my parents won't fold--I guess I'll have to settle for a pair of their babies... I just hope the babies turn out as beautiful as their parents! =)
The funny part is, I didn't even LIKE the caramel morph (and its offshoots, of course) before I saw your ad and this pair... Funny how that works. It's kind of like how I didn't even like reptiles until a lizard found its way into the bathroom... Lol.

Kyle, I'm almost beginning to think he hasn't stopped at being a factor in me buying an 08 butter motley, he's trying to get me hooked on the original butter that actually changed my mind about yellow snakes.
Oh, and she looks very lemony-vanillaey to me. Still.

Em Wright
03-16-2009, 03:05 PM
Star Trek is awesome.... ;)

You wouldn't necessary need a tank, tubs work extremely well and are fairly cheap (check at Walmart). I recommend the ones that latch, the lids are more sturdy. If you have a "human" heating pad that will work just as well as ones marked for reptiles. You can use TP rolls and all kinds of house hold things as hides and water dishes, too. When I first got into this hobby I hadn't quite caught on to improvising, but it's a great thing to keep in mind. I've noticed a lot lately that things specifically for Reptiles always seems to be marked up way high, so if you can think of something to cut costs, that works just as well, go for it. :)

And good luck! If you can't get anything from Brent now, keep a watch out and pick something up from him later. :D

Wow, I never would have thought the normal person Heating pad LMAO

And good Sugestions! I have my snakes in 10gal tanks now.. my leos in Tanks.. so, we shall see. I am trying to move one of my leos to the big tank with the other two.. and if that goes well.. I will have a 20l open.. But the lid isn't the most secure.. :-/ It used to have one of the slidding locking lids.. But I gues it broke *I Bought it used* And I have just one of the Tops that go on top.. and there is a nice gap in between the lid and such.. So yea Not sure how to work it yet.. I am seeing what Kind of funds we have.
