Good luck. I've had feelers out trying to get a couple more from hebbroinville, Texas, for a few years, too! The new laws making road collection illegal has made it almost impossible to get them now. It's horrible.

Anyway, what you are looking for (based on my image) is a meahllmorum from the Hebbronville or Freer area specifically. One from nearer to Three Rivers would be close, but a little more brown in coloration. Any were else, and you are pretty much dealing with a much browner Emory than the ones like in that image. Those just aren't as pretty as the Hebbronville ones in my eyes. You'll find some black/grey/silver ones like that around the bend area of west Texas, too...but they are natural intergrades (not pure meahllmorum), stay smaller, and have different blotch characteristics. Completely plain ventral ones do occur around Hebbronville, but they are more common in other areas. I wouldn't consider ones with reduced ventrals rare in any part of south Texas, though.
