Prongs on shed...

I'm a first-time corn snake owner, and my snake recently shed for the sixth time. I noticed two small red prongs towards the tail end of the shed. Now, I assumed this had something to do with the hemipenes, but I asked around to be sure, and nobody so far knows anything about it...

Should I be worried?

I've watched my snake for any health problems, and he's eating and drinking as normal, but he does seem more alert and sleeping less.

I've asked a simular question once.
Here's Susan's answer.

OK...I just ran a search and it seems that what you are seeing is perfectly normal (just as I thought), and can be seen in both male and female snakes (learn something new every day).
