Can I feed a hopper to a 48g snake? The munson says 50g I don't have any larg fuzzies, just pinkys and hoppers. I saw 44g on the scale, but the snake had a 1/5 of its body out. So it is at least 44g probably more, but it decided to start biting me so I put it back up. I got bit 3 times in like 5 secs.

The general rule of thumb is to never feed a prey item more than 1.5 times the width of the snake's body at its widest point. Keep that in mind.

Right, I know that. The snake wont eat tonight anyway, I just got it today, so I will get some fizzies tomorrow. Thank You though.

I start switching mine over to hoppers at around 60 grams, but as Bobby said, the general rule is nothing larger than 1-1/2 times the width of the snake.

ok, good, thank you. I will buy some large fuzzies tomorrow. And then try to feed her in about a week. She is a beautiful Ghost corn. I need to get some pictures of her. Thank you for your advice.
