Regarding feeding

First let me say that we've been very fortunate with 'ol Ichabod. He finishes his food in very short order and without any hastle.

The question I have is with adults. Do all the non-eating, regurging hatchlings typically grow out of this problem in the first year or so or do they sometimes continue to have problems?

Cheers,
Jason

From my experience, non-feeders that eventually start eating when the "proper" prey item is finally discovered and continue to eat regularly, will eventually get "trained" onto my prefered f/t rodent and remain good eaters into adulthood. Non-feeders that remain a problem, such as only eating occasionally, tend to die before they reach a year old.

Hatchlings that regurgitate either have a medical problem that may or may not be treatable and survive accordingly, or regurge because the prey item is too big (most common cause in young hatchlings) and usually have no more problems once the proper size prey item, for them, is given consistantly. They also do well into adulthood.
