Losing weight?

So I weighed Wade last night and he came in at 12 g. But he weighed 13 g last Saturday! I've had him for just over a month and he's been gaining weight pretty steadily over that time period. He just shed yesterday, he's never refused a meal nor regurged. I just fed him and he struck and coiled perfectly. He seems active and normal to me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Shedding is a very exhausting and energy demanding process.

I think if he gains weight as from now again normally, you needn't to worry. ;)

I find that my snakes very often loss a couple of grams during the period in which they shed, Its nothing unusual.

Yup, he definitely pooped. On me actually, the little stinker (no pun intended). He's pooped between weigh ins before and still gained weight, which is what confused me.

It's good to know it's a shed thing! It was the only thing different that's happened to him that I could think would cause this.
