Hatchling Digestion Time

Ok, I've searched high and low, I know it must be mentioned on this forum somewhere.

Don't hatchlings have a shorter digestion period that adults? I know for adults it's 48 hours. I thought for hatchlings I had read 24, but I can't confirm it.

The reason I'm asking is that I want to change the new anery's water and also add some decor, but I have a strict no touch, no stick hands in tank, no bothering at all policy during digestion. She ate this time yesterday.

Digestion time varies with temperature and the size of the food item. Therefore there is no "set time" for digestion of food in Corn Snakes.

Thanks, I realize that. I guess I'm asking about the "safe window of time" - a general rule.

Even for the hatchlings it is recommended not to disturb them for 48 hours after feeding.

Thanks Rich, sounds good.

I'll just be sitting on my hands for next 24 hours.

:o God knows I could love the little thing to death if I let myself - lol.

I know! It is very easy to want to hold them all the time when they are babies!
