Snake ate old mouse

So Dio one of our males has been rather shy about eating in front of us lately, so last night after refusing the mice, I stuck two in a container and put it in his tank (around 9p.m.). After I got back from teaching today I noticed that he had not eaten them, but forgot to take them out:headbang: and went to my other job. I just got back around 10p.m. and he had eaten one:crying: So I know there's not much I can really do now but how bad is this for him? The mouse had been thawed out at least 16 hours before he ate it, I would guess this would not be healthy. I feel so dumb right now! Any advice?

I really have no experience on this subject, but I think it'll be alright.

I think he'll be okay.

Hopefully he'll be OK. If it's bad enough to do him harm, then he should regurge in the next few days and there are ways of dealing with that if it happens.

It's just a waiting game for a short while, but fingers crossed he'll be fine.

I have heard this before as well, but have no first-hand experience with it so am hoping that all stays well.

I had something similar happen with my hognose once and all was well. :)

Thanks for all the kind words! You all were right Dio is just fine, and the week after this happened he ate 2 right in front of us, just like usual. Maybe he learned his lesson about being shy lol.
