The first picture is showing the first spot that showed up on Thumper about 2 weeks ago. I know that he brushed up against an incandescent bulb right before the spot showed, but now I'm noticing the brownish yellow spots showing on his sides. He should be coming up for a shed within a week or two if he keeps on his normal schedule and I'm wondering if I should be concerned.
The vet did check the spot in the first picture a few days ago when the other coloration showed up, and said she thought it was either thermal damage or a bacterial infection and prescribed Baytril for 2 weeks. He is on that treatment and doesn't like it, but he has no choice.
Does it look like an infection to you all or would you go with thermal like I'm thinking. Either way he's taking his medicine until its all gone. Maybe teach my 3-year old a lesson in the process.
