I just purchased a baby corn snake about four days ago and I'm finding that i wasn't completely prepared like i thought i was. Hes in a 10 gallon tank right now and has a hiding spot and i am trying my best to keep one side warm and the other side cooler. It was good for a couple of days but am afraid that the entire tank is becoming 80 degrees. Im using a beat lamp and hes just hiding out and today he regurgitated the pinky he stepped on Tuesday. Am i doing something wrong? Should i have waited to feed him? Or couldn't it have been that the pinky was still too big? It did look like he was having trouble swallowing it. I am at a loss on what i am doing wrong or could be doing better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
