  • Candoia Aspera are really neat, yes. I haven't had a chance to keep one, but to my understanding they -are- a bit mean, yes. This is partially because the vast majority of these animals are still WC. Few, if any, have managed to breed them in captivity.
IF you can get your hands on a CB animal that you like, I'd say go for it...
In regards to size, they really are on the smaller side, you've no reason for concern.
I may actually have something for you. If you want I have a AFT, just an adult male. If you want him PM me. I really am not looking for a whole lot, and it would give you experience with the animal!
Het Zulu's start at $400! AFTs are awesome animals, and I really see them as a new thing in the market, give it a few years. Whiteout will be around $250 next year, they are like the Tesseras of the AFT world. Everyone has them and has breed the crap out of them!
Whiteout? $850, Whitesock? $200, Super Zero? $2000 Super Zero Whiteout? $3500, Patternless Whiteout? $2200, Zulu Whiteout? $5,000, Caramel Zulu Whiteout? $10,000. Ouch!!!!!
That's true. It's a good market to be in. Lot's of people buying animals and getting into the game. Caramels are falling in price, which is good. The Ghosts are what everyone want but can't have. They run like $2,500.
Ok, well let me know. I will have some Het Amel Males for $40, so if you're interested let me know. AFTs are much pricey-er. They aren't as prolific. Some AFTs are going for $4,500. Like the Oreo Whiteout
I have Juvi Amels, if your interested. Males are $80, Females are $100. They are nice size and doing very well! PM me if you're interested!
AFTs are a little hardier when it comes to care than leos, they are more stout and tend to be less likely to drop their tails. You may want to consider them. There are lots on KS right now!
They are both great animals, but delicate. I would go with a Leo or AFT before moving onto a more advanced species. They are pretty sensitive to temp and humidity changes.
They are small geckos, very nice in an Exo Terra or something. Good to watch, not so much to handle. I would personally go with a Viper Gecko. They are much cooler and I like them a little better then Mournings.
They are doing awesome! Selling quite a few, and I have some girls I am pairing up tonight!
Sulfur is butter bloodred. So depending on what you bred him to, it is POSSIBLE that he could throw any of those morphs.

We are going to Arizona, near Phoenix.
I will be moving in 2 weeks, so I will probably sell him before then. If you want to make an offer, feel free. I need to get down to as few animals as possible before I move. So I will entertain offers on the few I have left.
He is a motley that does look kind of bloodred. I got him from a friend last fall. He said that he does not think he carries bloodred genes, but is not sure. He is very pretty and a great feeder and breeder. A couple of different people said they were going to buy him, but never followed through. He would make a great pet or breeder!
