Considering downsizing cages
Im looking to get a second snake to work on trying my had at breeding but i dont have space for another tank as big as the one i have now... its a 29 tall i believe. Two questions... What is the smallest cage a full grown corn can be in and is it safe to put an UTH on a plastic tote? I know ive seen setups that are racks of totes but not sure how they heat them

Polypropylene melts at around 350°f. UTHs are fine, and most heated racks use heat tape or cable threaded under or behind each tub. Most breeders use either 32qt or 28qt tubs (same floor space, one is just taller). If you're going to breed, you're also going to need a place for hatchlings until they can be sold. The average clutch is around 12-16, but some prolific girls have been known to lay upwards of 30.

Breeding wouldn't be till next year (haven't read to much into it yet but I think I missed it for this year). I didn't think about the heat tape for the racks but that makes sense.
