Cryptosporidium alert in England

I hope this is in the right place...If not perhaps a mod can move it....
I just caught the news, there was a warning on there about crypto in the water supply....I thought it was a good idea to post it up so you can all find out what is going on for yourselves ...Heres a link.....
BBC NEWS | England | Northamptonshire | Sickness bug found in tap water

It looks like its only very localised, just a few villages affected.

I don't know much about Crypto, does it come in different strands?. Or is it a case of it being more dangerous in reptiles than it is in humans? That article says it gives humans the runs, isn't it fatal in reptiles?

There's no mention of reptiles in that article at all. I hadn't considered a reptile contracting Crypto from a water source :shrugs:

All the best

Please note...Their are different strands that effect different species. Crypto that effects humans does NOT effect reptiles, don't get people all in a scare that their collections are going to get infected and die.

In this thread I posted veterinarian journal articles on crypto.
