Python?

Well, a friend was coming to visit and when he arrived he was all excited. He said he saw the biggest snake he has ever seen crossing the road a block from my house. After reviewing pictures he decided the closest picture to what he saw was a Burmese Python. Naturally, I rushed down there, but the scrub brush was too thick to see anything. I've been looking several times a day and will be curious to see what it is. Every time he told the story the snake got larger, but his wife said it was quite large, over 8 feet but not quite 10. While I love snakes, a Burmese isn't high on my list.

Ask the neighbors if they are missing any small dogs and/or cats. If yes, then that would be a pretty good clue.

There were two black cats that hung around one of the duplexes on the next street. I have not seen them around for at least a month or more. I did tell Sue to be extra vigilant when she lets our little rat terriers out in the back yard. My son saw a panther walking in front of his house last month, and he only lives 1.8 miles from me. Maybe the panther will tackle the snake.
