New snake!

5 Attachment(s)
So I was given, or rather, took, on a new corn snake. The person I received the snake from bought her as an impulse buy and decided they didn't want her and since I've been really wanting a snake for a while now. They really gave me no info on her except that she eats 2 pinkies every week. So a few questions I have about her (I'm guessing it's a she):
-Is there a way to guess her age, a rough estimate?
-Is two pinkies too much? shes kinda small and weighs 12g. But 24hr after feeding one pinkie there was no lump so she must have digested it quite fast. I've read somewhere that its a sign to feed more, is that true?
-Any tips on taming her? Shes not nippy just darty when i get her from the tank, and when i'm holding her shes very curious and moves around but isn't darty.
-Whats her morph? Not important i'm just curious, I think shes an anery motley hurricane?
- Any other tips for a new corn snake owner?
Thanks!!!!

Also when would I expect to see her shed?

I'm new to snake keeping so I'm afraid I'm not much help with your questions. I just wanted to say congrats on getting her and that she's so lovely! I love her colors!

Most of us follow the Munson feeding plan, which you can find on this forum by doing a search. Nanci also mentions it in her Snickersnake blog. Scroll down to member blogs and you will see her blog with a lot of helpful info, including the care of corns. The Munson plan suggests that a corn up to 15 grams should be fed one 2 to 3 gram pinky every 4 or 5 days. Depending upon the size of the pinkies you are feeding, you aren't too far off from the Munson plan if you space the pinkies out to 4-5 days. Judging the age is difficult, because corns grow at different rates, depending upon how they were fed. I would guess between 5-7 months, but many breeders keep unsold corns on a maintenance feeding schedule, so they grow more slowly. I'll leave the morph description to someone else to answer.
